At the world's largest test portal for ski resorts, our restaurant Albergo was awarded test winner in the category "Best Mountain Restaurant". That makes us very happy!
Passione. The rule of perfect simplicity: quality and taste! Our chefs have learned culinary secrets from all over Europe and have incorporated their experiences in our new menu. This may be the simplest recipe for success. There is a certain something that distinguishes our cuisine from what has been served on the mountain until now: it is the expert handling of seafood! Albergo's head chef Christian Siegele scales a red mullet with the help of a scallop shell... Now and then, we like to sneak a peek at what this culinary artist and his team are up to.
The chef is full of passion, and the menu is Mediterranean.
The head chef unpretentiously and highly professionally brings his skills to the plate - wonderful dumplings with bacon or caputtini with pumpkin. Of course, the ambitious chef is also skilled with sardines, zander, or char. Classic dishes are paired with modern creations. A detour up here to lofty heights is always a rewarding experience!
In addition: just as exquisite as our food is our wine menu (including wines by the glass). Julia Fankhauser is one of the sommeliers who likes to add a personal touch when creating the wine offer. "What you can uncork today, don't postpone until tomorrow". In other words: look forward to deliciously delightful skiing days in the Hochzillertal!
